- Cedar plank - 1 (pre-soaked in water for at least 1 hour)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cherry tomatoes - 100g, halved
- Red onion - 50g, thinly sliced
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 180°C).
- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour to prevent burning.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill and heat for about 5 minutes until it starts to crackle.
- Lay the trout fillets skin side down on the cedar plank.
- Brush the trout with the olive oil mixture and top with halved cherry tomatoes and red onion slices.
- Close the grill lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the trout flakes easily with a fork.
