- Caribou ground meat - 400 grams

- Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped

- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Portobello mushrooms - 2 large, stems removed
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground caribou meat, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, grill the portobello mushrooms on a separate grill or skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until tender.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on a plate, add a caribou patty, top with grilled portobello mushroom, avocado slices, and tomato slices.
- Finish with another lettuce leaf on top and serve immediately.
