- Cabbage - 200 grams, finely shredded
- Grated Coconut - 50 grams
- Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Green Chilies - 2, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Curry Leaves - 10 leaves
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Oil - 1 tablespoon (coconut or vegetable)
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add cumin seeds, green chilies, ginger, and curry leaves; sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add the shredded cabbage and salt; mix thoroughly.
- Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes on low heat until the cabbage is tender.
- Add grated coconut and mix well; cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
