  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish, chopped

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  4. Stir in the ginger, garlic, and green chili, and sauté for another minute.
  5. Add the chopped tomato and cook until it softens.
  6. Stir in turmeric powder and salt, mixing well.
  7. Add the finely chopped cabbage and mix to combine with the spices.
  8. Cover the pan and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  9. Sprinkle garam masala over the cooked cabbage and mix well.
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
