Ingredients
- Cabbage - 200 grams, finely chopped
- Whole wheat flour - 100 grams
- Water - 50 ml (adjust as needed)
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) - 100 grams, grated
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Tomato - 1 small, sliced
- Onion - 1 small, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped cabbage, whole wheat flour, salt, cumin powder, garam masala, and red chili powder.
- Gradually add water until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
- Roll out each ball into a circle about 6 inches in diameter, dusting with flour to prevent sticking.
- Heat a tawa or skillet over medium heat. Cook each paratha for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, adding a little olive oil for crispness.
- Once all parathas are cooked, place one paratha back on the skillet. Top with grated cheese, tomato slices, onion slices, and a sprinkle of chopped coriander.
- Cover and cook on low heat until the cheese melts, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat and repeat the process for the remaining parathas. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
