- ground buffalo meat - 400 grams
- garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
- olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- lettuce leaves - 4 large
- tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- red onion - 1/2 small, sliced
- avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- homemade BBQ sauce - 4 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground buffalo meat, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, sea salt, and coconut flour. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the buffalo patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 71°C.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, red onion slices, and avocado slices.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble the burgers, place each buffalo patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with tomato, red onion, avocado, and drizzle with homemade BBQ sauce.
- Wrap the lettuce around the patty and enjoy your Buffalo Burger!
