Ingredients

  • Ground buffalo meat - 300 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
  • Pickles - 4 slices

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground buffalo meat, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties, roughly 150 grams each.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the toppings: slice the avocado, tomato, and red onion.
  5. Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. To assemble, place each burger patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf. Top with sliced avocado, tomato, red onion, and pickles.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Buffalo Burger!
