  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Onion - 1 medium, cut into wedges
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into wedges
  • Skewers - 4

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Add the lamb or beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-4 hours for better flavor.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for about 15 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat a grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated meat, onion wedges, and bell pepper wedges onto the soaked skewers, alternating between the meat and vegetables.
  6. Brush the skewers with oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and has a nice char.
  8. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve hot with mint chutney and naan or rice.
