Ingredients
- Lean minced lamb or chicken - 200 grams
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1
- Cilantro (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Mint leaves (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon for brushing
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chili, cilantro, mint leaves, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the mixture marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to enhance the flavors.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat. If using a stovetop grill pan, heat it over medium heat.
- Take small portions of the marinated mixture and mold them onto the skewers, forming elongated kebabs.
- Brush the kebabs with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are cooked through and have a nice char.
- Once done, remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot with sliced onions, lemon wedges, and a side of yogurt sauce.
