- Flattened rice (Chura) - 100 grams
- Water - 1 cup
- Grated coconut - 50 grams
- Jaggery (grated) - 30 grams
- Ghee - 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Green chilies (finely chopped) - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a bowl, soak the flattened rice (chura) in 1 cup of water for about 10 minutes until it softens.
- Drain the water and gently fluff the chura with a fork.
- In a pan, heat ghee on medium heat and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add the finely chopped green chilies and sauté for a minute.
- Add the softened chura to the pan and mix well with the spices.
- Add grated coconut, jaggery, and salt to taste. Stir everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the jaggery to melt and blend with the chura.
- Finally, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve warm.
