- Gram flour (besan) - 20 grams
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Water - as needed
- Oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, soak the flattened rice in water for 5-10 minutes until it softens, then drain excess water.
- Add finely chopped coriander, rice flour, gram flour, green chili, grated ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt to the softened flattened rice.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, adding a little water if needed to form a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Spoon small portions of the batter into the hot oil, flattening them gently with the back of the spoon to form patties.
- Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the pan and drain excess oil on paper towels before serving.
