  • Coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Rinse the flattened rice (Chura) under cold water and soak it for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the mustard oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add the chopped green chilies and grated ginger to the pan, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the peanuts and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are slightly toasted.
  5. Add the drained flattened rice to the pan, then mix in salt, turmeric powder, and chopped coriander leaves. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  6. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through.
  7. Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
