  • Peas - 50 grams, boiled
  • Mustard oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, soak the flattened rice (chura) in water for about 2-3 minutes until it softens, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the mustard oil over medium heat until it starts to smoke slightly.
  3. Add the chopped onion and green chili to the oil, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
  4. Stir in the boiled potato and peas, adding turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the soaked chura to the pan, gently folding it into the mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring everything is well combined.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in the chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice, and serve warm.
