- Crushed rice (Chura) - 1 cup
- Bihari sattu (roasted chickpea flour) - 1/2 cup
- Boiled potato (mashed) - 1 medium
- Chopped onion - 1 small
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1
- Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Water - as needed for dough
- Ghee or oil - for cooking
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed rice and sattu flour.
- Add the mashed potato, chopped onion, green chili, coriander leaves, garam masala, and salt to the bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and gradually add water to form a soft dough.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
- On a clean surface, roll out each ball into a round paratha, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a tava or skillet over medium heat and add a little ghee or oil.
- Cook each paratha for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, adding more ghee or oil as needed.
- Remove from the skillet and serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
