- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mustard Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Cilantro (Coriander Leaves) - for garnish
- Water - 1 cup
Steps
- Heat mustard oil in a pan until it starts to smoke slightly, then reduce the heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and slit green chilies, and sauté for another minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
- Add the pieces of fish to the pan and gently mix, ensuring they are coated with the spices.
- Pour in 1 cup of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.
- While the fish is cooking, rinse the flattened rice in water and drain.
- Once the fish is cooked, add the rinsed chura to the curry and mix gently to combine.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the chura absorbs the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
