- Okra - 150 grams
- Plain yogurt - 250 grams
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Wash the okra thoroughly and pat dry. Trim the ends and cut them into small pieces (about 1 cm).
- In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped okra to the pan and sauté for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and slightly browned. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Remove the pan from heat and let the okra cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the plain yogurt until smooth. Add the chopped green chili, coriander leaves, and the sautéed okra, mixing well.
- Taste and adjust salt if necessary. Chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes before serving.
