Ingredients

  • Okra - 250 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander - for garnish

Steps

  1. Wash and dry the okra thoroughly, then trim the tops and cut them into 2-inch pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. Add the okra pieces to the marinade and coat them well. Allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or a grill pan over medium heat and brush it lightly with oil.
  5. Place the marinated okra on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are tender and slightly charred.
  6. Remove the okra from the grill and garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
