Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Okra (bhindi) - 150 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1, slit
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pizza sauce - 100 grams
  • Vegan cheese - 100 grams (optional)
  • Bell pepper - 1/2, sliced
  • Mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F).
  2. Wash and trim the okra, then slice them into 1 cm pieces.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add the chopped onions, and sauté until translucent.
  4. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chili, and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced okra, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the okra is tender and slightly crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the chopped tomato and cook for another 2-3 minutes, then add garam masala and cilantro. Mix well and set aside.
  7. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  8. Spread the pizza sauce evenly on the rolled-out dough.
  9. Evenly distribute the bhindi masala over the sauce, followed by sliced bell pepper and mushrooms.
  10. If using, sprinkle vegan cheese on top.
  11. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  12. Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, slice, and serve hot.
