- Oil - for frying
- Puffed rice - 1 cup
- Chopped onion - 1/4 cup
- Chopped tomato - 1/4 cup
- Sev (crispy gram flour noodles) - 1/4 cup
- Tamarind chutney - 2 tablespoons
- Green chutney - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Boil the potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them in a bowl.
- In the same bowl, add green peas, chickpea flour, chaat masala, cumin powder, chopped coriander, and salt. Mix well to form a dough.
- Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round patties.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate bowl, combine puffed rice, chopped onion, chopped tomato, sev, tamarind chutney, green chutney, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- To serve, place a bhel mixture on a plate and top it with 2-3 potato patties. Garnish with additional sev and coriander if desired.
