Ingredients

  • Puffed rice - 1 cup
  • Boiled potatoes - 1 medium, diced
  • Chopped onions - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped tomatoes - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Tamarind chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Green chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Sev (crispy chickpea noodles) - 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Skewers - 4

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the puffed rice, boiled potatoes, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, and chopped coriander leaves.
  2. Add chaat masala, tamarind chutney, green chutney, lemon juice, and salt to the mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Soak the skewers in water for about 10 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
  4. Take a small portion of the mixture and mold it onto each skewer, pressing gently to ensure it adheres.
  5. Preheat the grill or barbecue. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are slightly crispy and heated through.
  6. Once done, remove from the grill and sprinkle sev on top for added crunch.
  7. Serve immediately with extra chutneys on the side.
