Ingredients

  • Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Green bell pepper - 1/2 medium, diced
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green chili - 1 small, finely chopped (optional)
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Roasted peanuts - 30 grams, roughly chopped
  • Sev (crispy chickpea noodles) - 20 grams (optional for crunch)

Steps

  1. Wash and dice the cucumber, tomato, and green bell pepper into small pieces.
  2. Finely chop the red onion and green chili (if using), and add them to a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the diced cucumber, tomato, and green bell pepper to the bowl.
  4. Chop the fresh coriander leaves and add them to the mixture.
  5. Drizzle the lemon juice over the salad and sprinkle with chaat masala and salt to taste.
  6. Toss everything together until well mixed.
  7. Just before serving, fold in the roasted peanuts and sev (if using) for added crunch.
