Ingredients

  • Chickpea flour (besan) - 100 grams
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Spinach leaves - 50 grams, chopped
  • Potato - 1 medium, grated
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, water, grated potato, chopped spinach, chopped onion, green chili, garam masala, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the pan, flattening them slightly to form fritters.
  4. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt on the side.
