Ingredients

  • Bear meat, ground - 300 grams
  • Onion, diced - 1 medium (150 grams)
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Bell pepper, diced - 1 medium (150 grams)
  • Tomato, diced - 1 large (200 grams)
  • Carrot, diced - 1 medium (100 grams)
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Beef bone broth - 500 milliliters
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic, diced bell pepper, and diced carrot to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in the ground bear meat, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the diced tomato, cumin powder, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Pour in the beef bone broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. After 30 minutes, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If the chili is too thick, add a bit more broth or water.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
