- Fresh spinach - 200 grams
- Chickpea flour (besan) - 100 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon, or to taste
- Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - as needed
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash the spinach thoroughly and chop it finely.
- In a bowl, combine the chickpea flour, chopped spinach, onion, green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Add olive oil and mix well; gradually add water to form a thick batter that holds together but is not too runny.
- Using a spoon or your hands, drop small portions of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
