Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour - 150 grams
- Warm water - 120 ml
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Add warm water gradually while kneading to form a soft dough. Incorporate the olive oil and knead for another 2-3 minutes.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Divide the rested dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
- On a floured surface, roll each ball into a flat circle about 5 mm thick.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander and sesame seeds on top of each rolled dough and gently press them in.
- Place the rolled rotis on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the rotis are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and serve warm.
