Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams, crumbled
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Green bell pepper - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped (optional)
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Bread crumbs - 1/4 cup
  • Cheese (optional) - 50 grams, grated

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onions until they turn translucent.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chili. Sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften, then add the green bell pepper.
  5. Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the crumbled paneer to the pan and combine thoroughly, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Transfer the paneer mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  9. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top, and if desired, add grated cheese.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
