- Fresh methi (fenugreek leaves) - 100 grams, chopped
- Paneer (Indian cottage cheese) - 200 grams, cubed
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 inch, grated
- Green chili - 1, slit
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a pan, heat oil over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Once they sizzle, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chili. Cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in turmeric powder, and salt, and cook for 1 minute before adding the chopped methi leaves. Sauté until methi wilts down.
- Add the cubed paneer and heavy cream to the pan. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the mixture and stir well. Remove from heat.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until the top is slightly golden.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
