  • Idli batter - 1 cup
  • Carrot - 1 small, grated
  • Green peas - 1/4 cup, boiled
  • Curry leaves - 5, finely chopped
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon (for greasing)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish with oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the idli batter, grated carrot, boiled green peas, chopped curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, grated ginger, chopped green chili, and salt.
  3. Mix the batter thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Pour the idli batter mixture into the greased baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares.
  7. Serve warm with coconut chutney or sambar.
