- Idli batter - 1 cup
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Green peas - 1/4 cup, boiled
- Curry leaves - 5, finely chopped
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1 tablespoon (for greasing)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish with oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the idli batter, grated carrot, boiled green peas, chopped curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, grated ginger, chopped green chili, and salt.
- Mix the batter thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Pour the idli batter mixture into the greased baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares.
- Serve warm with coconut chutney or sambar.
