Ingredients

  • Sweet corn kernels - 200 grams

  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cheese (grated) - 50 grams
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat and add cumin seeds, allowing them to sizzle.
  3. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are translucent.
  4. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chili, cooking for another minute.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
  6. Mix in the sweet corn kernels and garam masala. Cook for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove the mixture from heat and add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Transfer the corn mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  9. Top with grated cheese, ensuring an even layer over the corn.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  11. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm.
