Ingredients

  • Raw papaya - 200 grams, grated
  • Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated raw papaya, baking soda, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, chopped green chili, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, and salt.
  3. Add 100 ml of water to the mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of oil and transfer the papaya mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  6. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
