- Whole wheat flour - 30 grams
- Khoya (dried milk) - 50 grams
- Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
- Milk - 50 milliliters
- Rosewater - 1 teaspoon
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 100 milliliters
- Sugar - 30 grams
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, khoya, and baking powder.
- Add ghee, milk, rosewater, and cardamom powder to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small balls (about 15 grams each) and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the balls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown.
- While the balls are baking, prepare the sugar syrup by boiling water and sugar together in a small pot until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Once the syrup is ready, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly before adding honey.
- After the baked balls are done, soak them in the warm sugar syrup for about 10 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped nuts if desired.
