  • Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
  • Milk - 50 milliliters
  • Rosewater - 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Sugar - 30 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, khoya, and baking powder.
  3. Add ghee, milk, rosewater, and cardamom powder to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls (about 15 grams each) and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake the balls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown.
  6. While the balls are baking, prepare the sugar syrup by boiling water and sugar together in a small pot until the sugar dissolves completely.
  7. Once the syrup is ready, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly before adding honey.
  8. After the baked balls are done, soak them in the warm sugar syrup for about 10 minutes.
  9. Serve warm, garnished with chopped nuts if desired.
