Ingredients

  • Whole grain bread - 4 slices
  • Cilantro chutney - 100 grams
  • Sliced cucumber - 50 grams
  • Sliced tomato - 50 grams
  • Sliced onion - 50 grams
  • Avocado - 1 small, mashed
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Spread cilantro chutney evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On two of the slices, layer the sliced cucumber, tomato, onion, and mashed avocado.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Top with the remaining slices of bread, chutney side down, to form sandwiches.
  6. Brush the tops of the sandwiches with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  7. Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice in half, and serve warm.
