- Whole grain bread - 4 slices
- Cilantro chutney - 100 grams
- Sliced cucumber - 50 grams
- Sliced tomato - 50 grams
- Sliced onion - 50 grams
- Avocado - 1 small, mashed
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Spread cilantro chutney evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- On two of the slices, layer the sliced cucumber, tomato, onion, and mashed avocado.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, chutney side down, to form sandwiches.
- Brush the tops of the sandwiches with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, slice in half, and serve warm.
