- Rice flour - 100 grams
- Chickpea flour (besan) - 50 grams
- Millet flour - 50 grams
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Carom seeds (ajwain) - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Warm water - 100-150 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, chickpea flour, millet flour, cumin seeds, carom seeds, and salt.
- Gradually add warm water to the flour mixture, kneading until a smooth, pliable dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a round ball.
- Flatten each ball into a thick disc (about 1/2 inch thick) using your palms or a rolling pin.
- Brush both sides of each bhakri with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Place the bhakris on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
