- Besan (gram flour) - 100 grams
- Jaggery (grated) - 50 grams
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
- Almonds (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Cashews (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Milk - 50 ml
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small baking dish.
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee on low heat and add 100 grams of besan, stirring continuously until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
- In a separate bowl, mix the grated jaggery with 50 ml of milk until dissolved.
- Add the jaggery mixture to the roasted besan along with chopped almonds, cashews, cardamom powder, and baking powder; mix well until combined.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and flatten the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges turn golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
