Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour - 150 grams
- Water - 75 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Eggs - 2 large
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 small, finely chopped
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add chopped onion, tomato, green chili, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and roll each portion into a small circle about 10 cm in diameter.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Place one rolled dough on the skillet and pour half of the egg mixture onto the center of the dough, spreading it evenly.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to encase it completely, forming a sealed pocket.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes, adding more oil if necessary.
- Repeat the process with the remaining dough and egg mixture.
- Serve hot with yogurt or a side salad.
