Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour - 150 grams
  • Water - 75 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add chopped onion, tomato, green chili, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  3. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and roll each portion into a small circle about 10 cm in diameter.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil.
  5. Place one rolled dough on the skillet and pour half of the egg mixture onto the center of the dough, spreading it evenly.
  6. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to encase it completely, forming a sealed pocket.
  7. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes, adding more oil if necessary.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining dough and egg mixture.
  9. Serve hot with yogurt or a side salad.
