Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 300 grams
  • Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Sev (crunchy chickpea noodles) - 2 tablespoons
  • Green chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Tamarind chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1 small, finely chopped (optional)

Steps

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let them cool.
  2. Once cool, peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cubed potatoes, chaat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt. Toss gently to coat the potatoes evenly with the spices.
  4. On a serving plate, arrange the spiced potatoes. Top with chopped onions, tomatoes, and green chilies.
  5. Drizzle green chutney and tamarind chutney over the potatoes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and sprinkle sev on top for a crunchy texture.
  7. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
