Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams

  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Pickle masala - 2 teaspoons
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Skewers - 4 (if wooden, soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, mustard oil, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, lemon juice, and pickle masala.
  3. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
  4. Add the paneer cubes, diced bell pepper, and onion to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Preheat a grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
  7. Thread the marinated paneer, bell pepper, and onion onto the skewers alternately.
  8. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
  9. Remove from the grill, let cool for a minute, and serve hot with mint chutney.
