Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, minced
  • Zaatar spice blend - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine minced chicken, zaatar spice blend, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) and they are golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing plain yogurt, lemon juice, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly in the skillet or oven until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each chicken patty on a bun, topped with cucumber slices, tomato slices, red onion, and a generous dollop of the yogurt sauce.
  7. Close the burgers with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
