- Chicken breast - 300 grams, minced
- Zaatar spice blend - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Plain yogurt - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine minced chicken, zaatar spice blend, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Form the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) and they are golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing plain yogurt, lemon juice, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. Season with salt to taste.
- Toast the burger buns lightly in the skillet or oven until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each chicken patty on a bun, topped with cucumber slices, tomato slices, red onion, and a generous dollop of the yogurt sauce.
- Close the burgers with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
