- Cherry tomatoes - 200 grams, halved
- Kalamata olives - 80 grams, pitted and sliced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh basil - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let the garlic burn.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften.
- Stir in the sliced Kalamata olives, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley, basil, and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional herbs if desired.
