Ingredients

  • 500g ground turkey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 cup cucumber - finely grated and drained
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic - minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill - chopped
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 1/2 cup lettuce leaves

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the turkey mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  4. While the turkey burgers are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped dill in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  5. To assemble the burgers, place each turkey patty on a whole wheat bun, top with tzatziki sauce, a slice of tomato, and lettuce leaves.
