- 2 whole wheat burger buns
- 1 cup cucumber - finely grated and drained
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic - minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill - chopped
- 2 slices tomato
- 1/2 cup lettuce leaves
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano. Mix until well combined.
- Form the turkey mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
- While the turkey burgers are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped dill in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
- To assemble the burgers, place each turkey patty on a whole wheat bun, top with tzatziki sauce, a slice of tomato, and lettuce leaves.
