Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Greek yogurt - 150 grams
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium, grated and drained
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Mint leaves - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon (for tzatziki)
  • Black pepper - to taste (for tzatziki)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breast and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. While the chicken is marinating, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (make sure to drain excess water), chopped dill, chopped mint, salt, and black pepper to taste. Set aside in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  5. Serve the grilled chicken topped with the tzatziki sauce on the side, garnished with additional dill or mint if desired.
