Ingredients

  • Ground beef or lamb - 250 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium, grated
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the meat mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, chopped dill, and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix well and season with a pinch of salt if desired.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place each patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf, top with a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce, and fold the lettuce over to create a wrap.
