Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 250 grams
  • Ripe tomatoes - 200 grams, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves - 15 grams, chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Balsamic glaze - for drizzling

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic together, then brush the mixture evenly over the surface of the pizza dough.
  5. Layer the sliced tomatoes evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the chopped basil, red onion slices, oregano, salt, and black pepper on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the tomatoes are slightly blistered.
