Ingredients

  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for grilling)
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces (for serving)
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped mint, cumin, paprika, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 2.5 cm in diameter, and place them on a plate.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the grill with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Once hot, add the meatballs to the grill, cooking them for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are grilling, warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side until slightly charred.
  6. Remove the meatballs and pita from the grill. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the meatballs before serving.
  7. Serve the spicy lamb meatballs with warm pita bread and a side of tzatziki sauce for dipping.
