  • Vegetable broth - 500 ml
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Sea salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod, haddock) - 200 grams, cut into chunks
  • Shrimp - 200 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon - 1, juiced

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced onion, sautéing until translucent.
  2. Add diced red bell pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, chili flakes, smoked paprika, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Once simmering, add the white fish chunks and shrimp to the pot. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the seafood is cooked through and opaque.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and stir in freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
