- Ground turkey - 250 grams
- Fresh spinach - 100 grams, chopped
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Tzatziki sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, chopped red onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the whole wheat burger buns in another skillet or under a broiler until golden brown.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, adding a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on top, and sprinkling with fresh dill.
- Serve immediately with a side salad or your favorite vegetables.
