Ingredients

  • Spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Cherry tomatoes - 200 grams, halved
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh basil - 10 grams, chopped
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and add it directly to the skillet with the tomatoes.
  5. Add the crumbled feta cheese, dried oregano, chopped basil, and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined, allowing the feta to melt slightly and coat the spaghetti.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with extra basil if desired.
