Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Tomato - 1, diced
- Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
- Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, prepare the tzatziki sauce if not using store-bought. Combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side until soft.
- To assemble the wraps, place grilled chicken in the center of each pita, then top with sliced cucumber, diced tomato, red onion, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley, wrap tightly, and serve immediately.
