Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Tomato - 1, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the chicken is marinating, prepare the tzatziki sauce if not using store-bought. Combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  5. Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side until soft.
  6. To assemble the wraps, place grilled chicken in the center of each pita, then top with sliced cucumber, diced tomato, red onion, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, wrap tightly, and serve immediately.
