- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Cucumber - 1/2, diced for tzatziki
- Greek yogurt - 150 grams
- Dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon for tzatziki
- Fresh tomatoes - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
Steps
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the chicken marinates, prepare the tzatziki by mixing the diced cucumber, Greek yogurt, chopped dill, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Warm the pita bread on the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Serve the grilled chicken skewers with tzatziki, fresh tomatoes, red onion, and warm pita.
