Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Plain Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the chicken is marinating, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, chopped dill, and paprika in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken pieces and grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and no longer pink inside.
  5. Toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing the grilled chicken on the bottom half of each bun. Top with sliced tomato, cucumber, red onion, crumbled feta, and a generous spoonful of the yogurt sauce.
  7. Place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately.
